The Countdown is On! One Week to the Content Boost NYC Crash Course

I’ll take Manhattan…

I am 100 percent a New Yorker at heart. I talk a mile a minute; I gesticulate incessantly; and I have zero patience for slow walkers. It’s most likely because I grew up about 35 minutes from Manhattan and have parents—New York City natives who eventually migrated to the suburbs—who say things like “tawk” and “wawk.”

IMG_1432So you can imagine my excitement over the fact that the Content Boost Content Marketing Crash Course—a one-day event designed to bring marketing professionals together for professional development—is headed to the Big Apple. On Wednesday, July 22, our editorial team will head to the NYU Kimmel Center (Room 803) for a seminar that promises to breed marketing inspiration.

We held our inaugural crash course event last December in our hometown of Norwalk, Connecticut, and after attracting standing-room only attendance we knew we had to hold it again. The event offers content marketing training and edification as well as ample networking opportunities. It’s a great chance for the community to rub elbows with marketing powerhouses.

But on July 22, we are raising the standard of our crash course yet again. In addition to targeting our breakouts to a more advanced audience—no 101 sessions at this month’s event—we are also holding a first-ever content marketing expert panel discussion. The interactive Q&A forum is your chance to toss your hardest marketing questions over to our expert panel. We hope to cover everything from the latest in the search algorithm world to lead capture best practices to the various stages of the customer lifecycle.

In addition, for the first time one of our customers, Fiber Mountain, will co-present during one of our breakouts. It will be your chance to hear firsthand what it’s like to work with a content marketing agency, from the client’s perspective, and uncover why a cosourcing model is becoming increasingly attractive for brands.

What’s more, on top of to hearing from our regular crash course speakers—including myself, Managing Content Producer Allison Boccamazzo and Marketing Manager Rebecca Conyngham—you will have the chance to hear from one our newest presenters, Content Producer Sal Trifilio. And let me just tell you, his presentation, titled “Blogging, Social Media, Email – The Content Marketing Trifecta” is going to be a home run (there’s a massive hint in there about the theme of his presentation if you can catch it!).

I stole a few minutes with Sal to get his thoughts on the day ahead. Here’s what he said: “After seeing the second crash course in action last April, I couldn’t wait for the chance to take the mic and lead a session! As my family, friends and co-workers will tell you, I really love to talk so being able to share my stories and insights with the greater marketing community is a real privilege. On top of that, I get to talk about two things I’m very passionate about: integrated marketing and … well you’ll have to wait for that second one!”
