Content Boost Invades Miami Today to Spread the Word About Content Marketing

IMG_20141204_113151137Can I just say I love having Wi-Fi on a flight? At some 10,000 feet in the air, I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to talk to all of you about what’s on the Content Boost road map for this week. As you read this, I am en route to sunny Miami with several members of the Content Boost team to attend TMC’s biannual technology and communications convention, ITEXPO.

I know what you are thinking… how the heck did we get in the air from New York when 5,000 flights were grounded by 11 a.m.? Well it took an hour on the tarmac to de-ice the plane, a TON of anxiety-ridden conversations and a lot of patience and we were on our way. #ThankYouDelta.

So what’s in store for this week? Here are some of the highlights of what’s ahead at ITEXPO 2015, taking place from Jan. 27-30.

  • Content Marketing Workshops: Last August, we kicked off our first-ever content marketing crash course during last year’s Vegas ITEXPO. It was such a success that we simply had to do it again in Miami. From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. tomorrow, ITEXPO participants are invited to join our Content Boost team for a series of seminars designed to equip you with the latest content marketing tips and tricks. Our workshops kick off with a session centered upon content marketing education 101, which is perfect for those attendees who don’t quite understand the difference between a blog, white paper and case study. The day continues with a seminar about how to get the boss to say “yes” to content marketing (quick tip: lead with the powerful ROI stats, like the fact that companies that blog at least 15 times per month get five times more traffic than those that don’t). Finally, we will wrap up the morning with four steps you can take next month assuming you do get the “yes.” If you are unable to join us in Miami be sure to check our bog for session coverage.
  • Content Boost Booth: Booth 927 will be the go-to place for trade show floor attendees looking for on-site assessments about their existing brand strategies and great content marketing conversation. Our editorial team will be available during trade show hours to meet one-on-one with company representatives and conduct on-site branding assessments. Our talented group of editors will evaluate your existing marketing strategy and pinpoint actionable ways to improve your marketing effectiveness. Hint: make sure your blog is findable from your homepage. We hope to see you there!
  • Conference Party: There’s no better time to organically network at ITEXPO than at our conference party, taking place at the Clevelander Hotel from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, January 29. Join us on the rooftop (fingers crossed for good weather!) to spend extra time with the biggest presenters and exhibitors at the trade show this week. Some of our best trade show conversations happened at the Clevelander last year so be sure to join us on the strip!

Are you joining us in Miami? Then shoot me a tweet and be sure to stop by Booth 927 so we can meet . If not, be sure to check our ITEXPO news page regularly for the latest news and coverage from the convention. See you in South Beach!

Carrie-SDubbed a “Chatty Cathy” from the time she uttered her first word, Content Boost’s Director of Content Marketing Carrie Majewski (née Schmelkin) is nothing short of verbal. Her love of talking matured into love of writing which inevitably transformed into a love of marketing. Carrie is responsible for overseeing the cutting-edge content marketing beast that is Content Boost—managing brand and editorial strategy, fostering client relationships, identifying new revenue opportunities and striking strategic partnerships. Carrie has worked with a variety of high profile clients on branding and copy creation from Sprint to Panasonic to AT&T to Emerson Network Power. When she’s not busy wordsmithing and debating content marketing versus traditional marketing, you can find her working on her swag in a hip-hop dance class, clogging her DVR with “Friends” reruns and trying desperately to make it up past 9:30 pm on the weekends with her hubby. #OldSoul.
